Necessary documents

When receiving services at the Latvian Maritime Medicine Centre it is compulsory to present identity documents – passport or ID card.
Driver’s license, certificate of insurance etc. is not considered as identity documents.
Children under 14 years old should arrive together with lawful guardians. Parents or lawful guardians of children (under 14 years old) should present documents to confirm their rights to represent the child’s (patient’s) interests. Parents need to present the child’s birth certificate, where the parent’s name is indicated, or passport with records containing the child’s data. Other persons (sister, brother, grandparents and other relatives) should present a notarized power of attorney to represent the child’s legitimate rights and interests.
